With no plans for the day, we hung out in the room to eat breakfast, drink coffee and take in the setting. Don found some part of Turkish cuisine that didn’t sit well over night, so wasn’t a very shiny penny for most of the day. It was a little concerning given that some of the symptoms are fever and chills (like COVID), but as the day went on these started to lessen.
After spending some of the morning researching and planning our time in Croatia, we headed down to the beach to test the water.
It had been less windy in the morning, but by the time we were at the water it was pretty breezy again. After getting warmed up on a couple chairs, we waded into the water and it was pretty nice! We spent the next hour in the water/around the beach, then headed back out of the sun (Don slept for a few hours to recover from last night). For dinner we enjoyed the sunset in the resort’s waterfront restaurant and had some delicious tuna rolls! The view was gorgeous :-).
After dinner we didn’t want to miss out on the comfortable temperature, so we walked all around the resort property again. As is typical in Turkey, the area was a real mix of property types, so one one side of this luxury resort was an apartment building and on the other side a private home converted to a B&B.
Back in the room we had a video call with Allyson and made an improv pitcher of sangria using a bucket of ice we had delivered with wine and fruit from yesterday’s shopping trip.
It was a totally relaxing day to end our pampering stay in Çeşme!
