We made it to Cape Tribulation and found our place (Rainforest Hideaway), which was indeed in the jungle - Tammy deemed it TOO MUCH in the jungle, as the kitchen and bathroom for our cottage was completely open to outside (no walls on two sides). Also since it is the jungle it was dark and damp - which included the bedding which was sort of yucky feeling.
We walked the property a bit (bunches of statues), then headed to Myall beach first on the Dibuji trail, then a bit further up the road on the Kulki/Cape Tribulation beach trail to watch the sunset (and saw a palm sized spider there).
We had dinner at PKs (local restaurant/bar attached to backpackers lodging) - ate pizza and salad with a pitcher of cider.
Back at the B&B we got ready for the early morning reef tour and settled in to listen to the jungle for the night.
