Bilpin to Warwick Farm to the airport home

Our next stop was spontaneously at a cider distillery that we came across (Bilpin). We tasted several of their ciders and really liked most of them, so bought a couple for later that night and a couple non-alcoholic ones for the road.

After another hour or two of driving we were back in the suburbs and found our hotel (Warwick Farm) just as it was getting dark. This hotel is part of a popular horse race track and seemed brand new. When we checked in, they awarded us “guest of the day” and upgraded us from our economy room to an Executive King Suite - super nice room!

We debated about dinner a bit, then went out to a nearby steakhouse to satisfy our red meat fix. On the way back to the hotel, we did our last grocery store stop and filled up the rental car with gas for the next day.

A couple ciders and a warm bath and we were ready to sleep.

Woke up at 5:00a to get ready and head to the Sydney airport. It was about an hour drive, then returned the rental car, got our tax refund on gift items ($72) and went a Priority Pass restaurant for lunch (another $72 of food and drinks for free). The plane arrived a bit late, but made it to LAX in just under 13hrs - not so bad.
